Hand Dipped Chocolate Strawberries

This is a very quick post, as this is the easiest dessert in the world. Hand Dipped Chocolate Strawberries. Great for just a festive, simple dessert anytime of the year, but especially good for Valentine’s Day.

Buy good chocolate chips. I like Ghirardelli 60% cacao bittersweet. (don’t know why I was holding the bag upside down!)

Warm 1-2 inches of water in sauce pan. Place a double boiler on top and when the water is slightly simmering, add the chips. Don’t let the water boil too hard.

Add the chips a few at a time until they all melt.

Start to dip each strawberry, carefully letting the excess drip back into the chocolate.

After dipping, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let cool at least two house or overnight.

Serve the Strawberries on a platter for simple dessert.

Or, in this case, we made an entire dessert tray. Experiment with dipping marshmallows or cookies as well. This made a great Valentine’s Dessert that everyone loved.
