Hidden Chocolate Kiss Cookies
This cookie recipe has been in our family for years. I remember my Mom making them and placing them in a Christmas tin to keep fresh. My Dad and I would sneak a cookie when Mom was not looking. Who wouldn’t love a cookie with a Hershey’s Kiss hidden in the middle?
These cookies are super easy to make. Start with some chopped pecans.
Next make the dough. I got out the Kitchen Aid with the paddle attachment to start the cookie dough. Be sure to use softened, not melted, butter.
When ready to make the cookies let the dough warm just enough to form balls in your hand. First, flatten out a little more that a tablespoon of dough in the hand. Then add a chocolate kiss candy. Form the dough around the candy. Roll into a nice ball.
Cool for a few minutes and then place on a baking rack over parchment paper. When they are completely cool, dust with powdered sugar.
They taste as good as they look!
