It’s as easy as mixing the sauce ingredients in a bowl.

After the sugar is in the bowl, add the soy sauce and whisk until incorporated.

Add the lemon juice next. You can adjust and add a bit more if desired.

Next add the minced garlic and ginger. The recipe calls for fresh ginger finely minced, however, for small amounts such as this, we use minced ginger from a jar. It works just as well!

Lay the wings in a single layer in a glass baking dish. On this day, we used only about 24 wings. There will be enough sauce for about 35-40 wings, which you’ll need two pans for.

Cover Tightly to Start

Cook the wings for about 30 minutes, covered. Carefully remove the covering and turn the wings. Cook for another 30 minutes. Remove the covering for the last 15 minutes, then they are ready to go!

Teriyaki Chicken Wing Appetizer

Teriyaki Wings are a great appetizer sure to please any crowd. Super easy to make as well!

Ingredients

  • 40 chicken wing, drumettes
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (juice of one lemon)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, finely minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300.
  2. In a medium size bowl combine the soy sauce, sugars, lemon juice and garlic. Stir well.
  3. Place wings in a large (9x13) baking dish. Pour the sauce over, covering all. Cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes. Turn all the wings. Bake for 30 more minutes, basting often.
  5. Increase the oven to 350. Remove the foil and bake for 15 minutes more.
  6. These are great served in a chafing dish or crock pot, keeping warm, to serve with a buffet. Enjoy!
